Building our Future
In 1988 Hemlock Girl Scout Council dedicated Lake Louise at Camp Golden Pond “with the hope that Lake Louise at Camp Golden Pond will be a source of fun and fond memories for Girl Scouts for many generations.” Thirty years later the camp is now operated by Friends of Golden Pond, a public charity dedicated to keeping this amazing resource available to the public.
In honor of Girl Scout Week 2020, Marilyn and Kyle Kauffman and MaryAnne and Randall (Randy) K. Cline will match up to $2,500 of all donations made to Friends of Golden Pond through March 14, 2020.
Marilyn (former president, officer and board member of Hemlock Girl Scout Council), Kyle (former board member of Hemlock Girl Scout Council), and Randy (former chief executive officer of Hemlock Girl Scout Council) want the former Golden Pond program center to be able to continue to serve Girl Scouts and other youth for generations to come.
Since re-opening the camp in March 2019, Friends of Golden Pond has hosted over 700 Girl Scouts for troop and service unit camping events. Another 700 Girl Scouts have confirmed reservations throughout 2020. Combined with Scouts BSA, church organizations, and other groups, Camp Golden Pond expects to see over 2000 campers per year. Your contribution today makes this possible.
