Camp Golden Pond has a variety of overnight facilities including a cozy cottage, a bunkhouse, rustic cabins, and tents. Depending on if you are an organized group, private family, or planning a large event will determine your reservation process and facility options
Day only usage of outdoor areas by small groups for the purpose of outdoor enrichment and recreation is available at no charge. Please contact us for details or for help arranging your day trip so we can ensure that restroom facilities are available for your group.
Camp Golden Pond has canoes, kayaks, and stand up paddle boards available for rentals. Rental of the watercraft includes paddles, life vests, and rescue gear. Our fleet includes 14 canoes, 12 youth sized kayaks, 4 full sized single kayaks, 2 full sized tandem kayaks, and 2 stand up paddle boards.
FGP does not require lifeguards. However, if you would like a qualified lifeguard and boating instructor, FGP can provide one at $20 per hour per certified lifeguard. The number of lifeguards you require will depend on your group size.
Watercraft reservations must be made in advance.
Camp Golden Pond has basic archery equipment, including bows and targets that are available for use with a archery range reservation. Use of the archery equipment requires a certified archery instructor.
Area Girl Scout troops have placed several geocaches around the camp. Youth and scout groups can request use of a geocaching kit (set of 4-6 handheld gps devices). Click here for a complete listing of the active caches on site.
The camp property is 55 acres and provides several paths and trails that you can explore. Note – the area north of the lake is off property so be sure to mindful of any “posted/no trespassing” signs.
Nearby, you can also make your way through Rothrock State forest and even pick up the Mid State Trail.
Fishing at Camp Golden Pond is catch and release.
Adults are required to have a valid PA fishing license. Youth do not need a fishing license if they are supervised by a licensed adult.
