Lodging Units

Golden Pond lodges are rustic camp lodges with amenities and heat that allow us to enjoy the scenic forest that surrounds us year-round. Linens, towels and toiletries are not provided. For specific details on available items or to request special items such as Dutch ovens, pie irons, or marshmallow sticks, contact us. During your stay, other cabin units and lodges on the property may be occupied by various groups. Cell service is carrier-dependent. Legacy Lodge

Legacy Lodge is a large, open floor plan lodge with two upper lofts that can accommodate up to 60 overnight guests on mattresses on the floor or 150 daytime guests. The building features a full commercial kitchen, making it ideal for large group events such as family reunions, weddings, holiday parties, or use as a dining hall. Two beautiful fireplaces and restroom/showers are located at each end of the building as well as a small private kitchen. Access to outside fire ring and covered porch area. The commercial kitchen includes a commercial refrigerator and a walk-in cooler and freezer. There is also an insulated cooler box behind the building that can be used to store ice. The walk-in cooler and freezer are an additional fee and are NOT available during the winter months. For most groups, the double-door commercial refrigerator is sufficient to store everything needed.

Hemlock House  

Hemlock is a 2-bedroom cabin with carpet, a large bathroom and shower, heat, and air-conditioning. One bedroom contains 2 full-size beds and the other bedroom contains 2 bunks and 2 single beds, allowing room for 8-10 guests. The kitchen features a four-burner electric stove and is stocked with limited pots, pans, and dishes. There is a dining area with table and chairs for 6 and an oversized living room area with furniture. The covered wrap-around porch gives you shelter from the weather and a lakefront view of Lake Louise, making it ideal for families to enjoy the great outdoors. Access to the outside fire ring.

Palmer Lodge | Tussey Level

Palmer Lodge, a former modular home, is a heated lodge that is open year-round.

Tussey is the top level of Palmer Lodge. It has four bedrooms sleeping 24 in bunk beds. This level features 2 bathrooms and a shower along with an indoor kitchen. The kitchen features a four-burner electric stove and is stocked with limited pots, pans, and dishes. Tables and chairs can be arranged to accommodate any configuration including small classes and dining. Three large picnic tables on the covered porch provide a sheltered space to enjoy your activities. Access to the outside fire ring.

Palmer Lodge | Barree Level

Located in the bottom of Palmer Lodge and newly renovated, the space sleeps 26 and has 1.5 baths (shower included). 

There is a large general room with a fireplace and is great for cold-weather camping. It also has a full kitchen with a 6-burner stove and is stocked with limited pots, pans, and dishes (oven NOT available). Tables and chairs can be arranged to accommodate any configuration including small classes and dining.  Access to the outside fire ring.


Outer Units

Outer units are available seasonally, May 1 – October 15.  These units are considered rustic camping units. All units include usage of a pavilion and bathhouse, toilets only. Pavilions include electricity, an outdoor kitchen with a refrigerator and a fire ring.

Wald Unit

Each cabin in Wald unit is a single room and features 8 bunks, a table with benches, and a back porch looking out over the lake (cabins 1 and 3) or the forest (cabin 2). While the cabins have electric lights, there are no electric outlets - leave your devices at home for this unplugged retreat. The upper parts of the cabin are open (but screened to keep critters out) to allow airflow. If temperatures dip, the cabins in Wald get chilly. All 3 cabins in Wald share a kitchen pavilion, fire circle, and bathhouse (toilets only). The kitchen pavilion has a propane stovetop (propane provided); running, potable water; and 4 picnic tables. Guests should bring their own cookware, plates, etc. The nearby fire circle is equipped with a camp grill, benches, and stocked with wood. Up the hill, is the Wald Bathhouse. This building features running water with 6 toilets (stalls) and sinks.

Serendipity

Serendipity is our most primitive and rustic unit available at Golden Pond. It contains a set of 7 tabins, sleeping 25. Each tabin is made of a wooden framed structure with a metal roof and tent flap sides and has 3-4 cots. The unit includes a bathhouse with 4 showers and 3 flush toilets, a kitchen pavilion and a fire circle. The kitchen pavilion has a propane stovetop (propane provided); running, potable water; and several picnic tables. Guests should bring their own cookware, plates, etc. The fire circle is equipped with a camp grill, benches, and stocked with wood. The nearby fire circle is equipped with a camp grill, benches, and stocked with wood.

Unit II

Unit II is a 10–15-minute walk from the front of the camp. With 7 individual cabins surrounding the pavilion and bathhouse area, each cabin is a single room and features 6 bunks (cabin 4 has 8 bunks), a table with benches, electric lights, and an outlet that can be used to charge a cell phone or run medical devices. Screened-in windows have flaps that can close to keep the heat in and rain out, or open to let in a breeze. Cabins in Unit II share the kitchen pavilion, fire circle, and bathhouse (toilets only). The kitchen pavilion has a propane stovetop (propane provided), running, potable water, and several picnic tables. Guests should bring their own cookware, plates, etc. The nearby fire circle is equipped with a camp grill, benches, and stocked with wood. The bathhouse has 4 toilets and sinks.

Family Camping Option

This option is offered in our outer units and seasonally available May 1 - October 15. These rustic units can be rented by the cabin and shared usage of a pavilion and bathhouse, toilets only. Pavilions include electricity, an outdoor kitchen with a refrigerator and a fire ring. Prices are per night.

Wald Unit has 3 cabins available with 8 bunks each.

Serendipity has 7 tabins available with 3-4 bunks each. This unit only is rented by the bed.

Unit II has 6 cabins with 6 bunks each and one cabin with 12 bunks.
